The Barriomatic Trust is the duo of drummer/percussionist Mark Adam, songwriter/guitarist Kevin Lacroix. They take all of the casios, melodicas, synth filters, samplers, effects pedals and drum machines that they can find, patch them together to trigger, sync, twiddle, tap, loop, and filter their way through songs that would otherwise be on the cutting-room floor of some film about a failed rock band that was nerdy before nerdy was cool.
With Andrew Downing bass, Dave Burton drums, Christian Kogel guitar, Claude St Jean trombone, and Duggan percussion - Roots VII is a collaborative project with music contributed by each of the players - and each is a post-modern music guru in their own right.
