[An Out like a LION concert] The Lion is dipping into the music of the prohibition and is set to roar at the Prohibition Swing Night with the Jubilee Swing Orchestra and Swingology (Halifax, Truro). Come dressed in old school or modern style and get a taste of what it must have been like when people had to party on the sly and got to dance to American swing and Parisian gypsy jazz. You can dance all night long and watch swing dancers dip and swirl!
To get you in the mood, and to celebrate the fashion, rights, and music of the Prohibition Era, Lisa Rawding of JazzEast put together a video playlist for you to enjoy.
