E.S.T. Tribute Concert with Tom Easley, Jeff Torbert and Mark Adam

[The New Standard at Out like a LION] Bassist Tom Easley, guitarist Jeff Torbert and drummer Mark Adam host an E.S.T. Tribute Concert (Halifax, Wolfville) for the opening party of the 2012 Out like a LION music festival. The Esbjörn Svensson (E.S.T.) Trio was a music fan’s, chart topping favourite due to its ability to perform a bit of electronica, funk, pop, rock, fusion and Western classical music in an open-minded style, while retaining its roots in jazz.  These feats of excellence are well and brightly met with some of our top musicians in Nova Scotia.

The video below is a little tougher in sound than the typical E.S.T. composition, but it reflects that there are no limits of genre for them and that their groove and mastery of musical performance can take on anything.
