Send us your stories!

My name is James MacAulay. I am working with JazzEast to put together an online retrospective to celebrate the Halifax/Atlantic Jazz Festival’s 25th anniversary. As part of this project, I would love to include some brief stories or quotes from people that have been involved in some capacity with the festival over the years.

So if you’re game, I was hoping you might be able to answer one question for me:

What, to you, have been some of the most memorable performances (or performers) in the festival’s history, and what made them so remarkable?

Any input/anecdotes, etc. you could provide would be awesome and would help to spotlight some of the great moments in the festival’s history.

While I’m at it, I’m also soliciting any sort of media (photos, video, whatever) related to the festival that people might have kicking around, so feel free to get in touch with me if you have anything you think might make a good inclusion in the retrospective.

Thanks a lot!

James
